Our Little Girl

I haven't had the chance to post anything lately we have been so busy with our kids. So here is the much needed update.
On the 14th of Oct I went into my doctors and they wanted to do an ultrasound to get a more accurate measurement of Kendell's weight. She was measuring well over 8 lbs. I was a little worried cause I still had a little less then two weeks to go and she was going to just get bigger.
I really didn't want to be induced I wanted to see what it was like to just go into labor. But because of her size we thought it was best to get induce.
My mom was coming out for the birth and to help with Caiden. She was a huge help. I was induce on the 25th the day before my due date. That morning around 2:30am I started to feel uncomfortable I didn't that I was having contractions.
At the hospital my water broke on its own and I was progressing on my own pretty well. I was in labor about 6 hours. I only had to push for 15 minutes then we had a beautiful 9lb 3 oz baby girl.

Trevor and I both fell in love with her as soon as she was born. She is a little angel. Caiden had no clue what was going on. He was mad at me when I got home from the hospital he would not even look at me. He didn't like that Trevor and I left him. So glad my mom was there to help entertain him. That same week end Caiden started to walk. He didn't want Caiden to have all the attention.

Caiden really didn't pay much to Kendell at first but now he will hold her and give her kisses. He is really sweet with her. Some times he gives her to much love.
Trevor and I are learning how to manage life with two kids. Kendell is a really good baby only really cries if she is hungry or tired. She is better sleep then Caiden. She is really calm and good. She is so sweet.
Heavenly Father has really blessed us with to wonderful children. We love them so much!!!

Little things Caiden does.
1. He loves to watch videos of himself on the iPhone. He will shove it in my face until I play one.
2. He walks on his knees to get places
3. He stops drops and rolls if he is thirsty. He will scream and lye you know he wants a drink.
4. He loves turning on and off lights
5. He enjoys being outside and going on walks in the morning
6. He is getting really good at walking. He didn't start really walking until a couple weeks ago. He is a late walker 16 months.
7. He examines all food before he puts it in his mouth. He is an extremely picky eater.
8. Loves to climb on things especially the twin bed in his room.
9. He knocks on any door that is shut.
10. He will crawl in to the laundry basket like a tunnel even if there are clothes in it

Our Little Girl's Name is ....

When we had Caiden we didn't tell anybody the name. It was fun having it as a secret. But this time we aren't doing that. They original plan was to have 3 names to bring with us to the hospital and then name her after she was born. But I can't wait that long.
One night I told Trevor that I really wanted to pick a name. First we choose a middle name Margaret that is my Grandma's name. I called her and told her the middle name. Her reaction was so cute. She said, "Really after me!!" She was in shock. It was so sweet.
After we had a middle name we picked the first name our 3 names that we like are Josie, Anslee, and Kendell.
Her name will be KENDELL MARGARET BROWN!

Kellyn Came to Visit

After we got back from New Jersey visiting family life has slowed down a bit. But we did get a visit from Kellyn. She came to visit us here in Dallas. It was great to have her here. When she was here Kellyn and I got to go see Taylor Swift in concert! It was such a fun show. Taylor is a really good performer. She really knows how to put on a show. The show was sold out at the Dallas Stadium I think that there was 55,000 people there. It was packed. I think the worst part of the night was the traffic leaving the show. You know your are stuck in traffic when GPS asked if we wanted to switch pedestrian mode. I am so glad that we got to go to the show.

We all got to go to the Dallas Aquarium. It was fun but we went on a holiday it was PACKED with families so we didn't stay as long as we normally would have! But Caiden loved seeing the sting rays they are still his favorite thing there.

Another thing that we did with Kellyn when she was here was we went to the mall. There are some huge malls in the Dallas area. They are fun to walk around they have some of the really high end stores there that I could not even afford a sock from.

Just before Kellyn had to head back to Jersey I had a sonogram to find out what we are having. I was so excited I couldn't really sleep the night before. When I was sitting in the office waiting to be called back the baby was moving all around. I had a feeling that they might have trouble finding out the sex of the baby. I was right. The baby would go from having the thighs closed to sitting Indian style so the heels would be in the way. I had to keep moving side to side to see if the baby would move.  But at the end of the appointment we did find out that we are having a GIRL!!! We are so excited. I had a feel it was a girl! I love being right! I was right with Caiden too! Both of our families are excited for us. My mom already sent a box of baby girl clothes! She is a wonderful!

Update!

Not a ton has happen since I last wrote. In the beginning of April Trevor's Mom came to visit us. She was here in Dallas for 4 days the time sure did fly by. Trevor was only able to see her for a day then he had to fly out to Arizona for work. I am so happy that I got some time with Barbara it was fun to watch her with Caiden.
I think one of my favorite times was when we went to the Dallas Aquarium it was so much fun. Caiden's favorite animal there is the sting ray. I think its because he can see it up close. My personal favorite was the shark/ big fish feeding.
It was so nice to have Barbara here in Dallas she got to see what are life is like in Dallas. It was good to have some adult company when Trevor was gone too.

At the moment Caiden and I are in New Jersey! We have been here a week Trevor was here with us last week. It has been so good to be with family. Caiden has changed so much since Christmas time that was the last time we visited. He is so much more interactive with every one. He loves his uncles! He is really good at climbing all over them.
We have been able to see my Grandma how is in a nursing home. It brightens up her day. It was so funny to see Caiden and Grandma walking down the hall way together. They had a race Caiden won.  We will be flying back home on Saturday. It will be sad to leave but it will be nice to be back with Trevor.
I will include picture with the next post!

Pregnancy update:
I am 15 weeks and 2 days. I am over my morning sickness. It was not been super bad this time but I am pretty sure that I tossed my cookies more this pregnancy then with Caiden. For a while I could not eat Chicken even the thought of it made me feel sick. Smells still really bother me a lot. But I am loving the second trimester much better then the first.
We will be finding out the sex of the baby at the end of the month with Caiden I thought it was a boy this time I have no idea.  My Mom is calling it a girl. I guess we will see in just a few weeks. We have 3 names for each sex. I don't think we will pick a name until the baby is in our arms.

Boy
Carson
Cooper
Conner

Girl
Anslee
Josie
Kendell

Trevor, Caiden, and I have some exciting news. Caiden will be a big brother in October. I am due October 26. Trevor and I are so excited and feel so blessed to be able to bring another Child of God into this world. Caiden will be 18 months old when we have this new little baby. I have a feeling that we will have our hands full. But I am looking forward to this new chapter in our life.

My pregnancy so far has been really good. I have definitely have had morning sickness and days where I have to force myself to eat.  But for the most part I feel pretty good. I have been working really hard to eat healthy and working out 5 days a week. Trevor has been a huge help and support with this.

It’s been awhile since I have updated. I have never really been that good at “journaling”. So it’s time for a massive up date.

The highlights of November were my Mom and Caiden’s “cookie” came out for a visit. It was the first time she has been out here since we moved in August.  It was fun to have her here with us. We were able to do touristy things. We went to the Aquarium, the zoo, shopping, ate good BBQ, and spent lots of time together.

As a family we were able to go to Utah. We were able to have Thanksgiving with Hailey and Jeff and Charlie. It was nice to be able to catch up with family and I never that I would say this but it was nice to be back in Utah. Barbara and Dennis got married while we were there it was a beautiful wedding. It was great to be able to there for them on that special day.

December felt like a very long month. Trevor was asked by PWC to work in Little Rock for 4 weeks and that started the Monday we returned from Utah.  So Monday through Friday Caiden and I missed Trevor! It made me enjoy the weekends even more. I tried to get all of the house work and shopping done by Friday so that we could just have fun. Trevor finished up in Little Rock and we went to spend Christmas in New Jersey. Caiden was good on the plane but he did like to do a little happy scream to let people now he was there. Silly boy. Christmas was wonderful it was the first time in 3 or 4 years that my whole family was together. That said there were a lot of pictures taken.

The New Year as started off wonderfully for our family, we have made goals to help ourselves physically and spiritually. Trevor takes off for work each morning around 8am and gets home pretty late some days. So our time as a family is in the morning time. I read the Book of Mormon to Trevor and Caiden. Just before Trevor leaves we say a family prayer. It has really brought the spirit into our home. I want to continue this so that Caiden will always remember that we read and prayed together as a family.

So far February has been fabulous!!! I honestly can’t complain one bit. We are so very blessed! That is all I can say for now.

Here are some little things about Caiden

  • he is teething so he chews on everything that he shouldn’t for example our wood TV stand. We had to put a towel down so he would stop!
  • He has the army crawl down he get everywhere.
  • He swishes his spit around his mouth. Sounds gross but it makes me laugh
  • He loves to watch videos of himself.
  • We went to the zoo and I was changing a poopy diaper in the trunk of the car and he grabbed a handful of it. Thank goodness I had help with me.
  • As soon as Trevor walks in the door he will fuss until his Daddy picks him up.
  • Loves to FaceTime with Pop-Pop and Cookie that always puts him in a good mood
  • He still HATES being in a car set. He will cry if he is in one longer than 20 minutes.
  • One day we has not in the best mood and I put him on the ground instead of playing with his toys he held on to my leg for five minutes
  • He loves the bath tub. He is a water baby. A bath will usually always make him happy
  • He likes to walk around the apartment if we hold his hands. He can move a little bit on his own if he is holding on the couch

Goals

I have been thinking a lot lately about goals. I have been graduated since July and we are settled down in Dallas. When I was in school I was working towards something. At the moment I feel like I have stopped progressing and that is not a good thing! I am not going to wait until New Years to make goals. I am starting this week.
My Goals:
1. Read the Book of Mormon with Caiden each morning
2. Read a book just for fun.
3. Make a plan out my day with things to do
4. Plan out meals/ eat healthier
5. Work out 5 days a week.
6.  Take Caiden on walks on each morning
These are just a few of my goals that I will be starting on. There are a few more that are to personal to share on a blog.

Loving life

Caiden has gotten a lot more personality last month or so. It is so fun to see him grow. I am so lucky to be able to stay home with him while Trevor works. We are so very blessed.
Caiden has started to laugh more and more. Just at silly little things.
The little boy and I made some friends. With the family downstairs they have a little girl whose two years old and another little girl that's five months old. We started to go on walks them each morning it's been a lot of fun. It's been nice to finally feel like we are starting to have friends and really make a life here.
Trevor and I are so lucky to be here. Heavenly father really keeps blessing us each day. It's very clear to me that when you Truly are living the Gospel heavenly father will bless you more and more.

Catching Up

It has been a while since I have been able to update the blog. August was a busy month for us.Trevor's family let us stay with them. It was fun to be able to spend time with all his family be for the big more to DALLAS,TX.
Caiden and I flew to New Jersey. I was Caiden first time on an airplane. He did so good. He sleep most of the flight. I was a little worried that he might cry. He was a champ.
We did a lot when we where there. One of the main things that I got to do was show off Caiden. My Grandma is a nursing home. So to brighten my Grandma day we brought Caiden to her. He was the star of the Nursing home. It is amazing to see what a little baby can do to brighten peoples lives. I am so glad that caiden could come to New Jersey with me. We sure did miss Daddy. It was a great trip.
One the way back I was really sick. I am so glad that my Dad and two brothers where with me. Caiden was a little angel on the plane thank goodness.
So my Dad and brothers came out to Utah 1) to set up Will at Snow college 2) to help us move to Dallas.I can honestly say Trevor and I have the best families in the WORLD. They help us pack the truck up perfectly and got us on our way to Dallas!
I never thought I would end up in Texas of all places. We are settle in for the most part. There are a few box left that we need to take care of. Our apartment is in the perfect loction anything store that you would need to go to is with in a 3 miles of our place. Its really wonderful. Plus there is a great place for Caiden and I to go walking. We try to go everyday.
We are still learning our way around but we sure do love it!!

The cute little boy

Caiden is nine weeks old! I can't believe how fast he is growing! He is smiling a lot! I love his cute little baby sounds! They are so fun!
Caiden had to be out of the house yesterday for a couple of hours when they were spraying for spiders. So we were able to have lunch with a good college friend. That was fun we were able to catch up and talk! It had been a while since we have seen each other!
Later that night Caiden went to his first play My Fair Lady! He sleep most of the time! Tonight we are going out bowling with some friends of Trevor's! So that will be another first for him too! I love being a wife and a Mom it is the greatest thing in the world!

Graduation & Utah

Last week of school was kinda crazy. We have a lot to do with finals and all the packing we had to do. I was lucky and only had one final. Trevor had at least four tests. Graduation was great! It was a long day. Trevor's family were able to come up for graduation. Graduation was long it was very good though. We got there around 430 but didn't leave until about 9 o'clock at night. We were all very hungry so we ordered a lot of pizza.
We are very grateful Trevor's family. They were a huge help in packing and cleaning. It would've been a lot harder without their help.Dennis Barbara's fiancé let us use their trailer to pack all of our things in. We were able to pack up and get out of Rexburg by noon
Saturday. Kind of a weird feeling knowing we will not be back in Rexburg anytime soon. We are finally done with school.
For the meantime we are staying withTrevor's family in Pleasant Grove Utah. we will be here for about a month then we will be moving to Dallas, Texas. We are glad we can be here to spend time with Trevor's family we don't know how often we be able to come back to Utah to visit with his job.
Caiden and I will be visiting New Jersey on August 6. We will be there for 10 days. My grandma finally get to meet Caiden. Grandma has been sick so it will good for her to see him. We are both very excited!
Trevor and I feel very blessed. We have been given so much this past year together. When you do your very best and gave it all you have things really do work out. When you follow heavenly father's plan things seem to fall into place really quickly.

Trevor was able to get a job in Dallas, Texas for an accounting  firm called PwC. I will be a stay at home mom. I am so glad that we will be able to afford me to do that.We are going to be staying in Utah for about a month with Trevor's family. It will be nice to spend sometime with them before the big move. Caiden and I will not be in Utah that whole month. We are flying out to New Jersey for 10 days to spend sometime with my family he has not meet his uncles yet.
I have a feeling that the next few months will be full of new and exciting things lots of adventures for the Brown family.

Caiden's Baby Blessing

On June 22,2012 Trevor was able to bless our little baby boy Caiden. We where able to have my parents, and all of Trevor's family which also included Dennis my mother in-law soon to be husband. It just family for the bless. We where able to bless him in our little apartment.I am grateful for all these wonderful men that honor their priesthood and here able to bless my little boy.
It was so good to have them all here for the special day. This was the first time that most of Trevor's family got to meet Caiden.
